What does the name vere mean?
The name vere comes from Latin, meaning “truly, really, actually” and was inspired by questions regarding product design, utility, and function.  vere strives to create products that are not only beautiful, but which also utilize the inherent qualities of the materials they are made from.

Why are vere products innovative?
At vere, a handbag is not just a handbag. vere tinkers with the idea of fashion vs. function by making products that are both smart and stylish.

What are they?
Currently, the product line consists of Tyvek® metallic- like bags, pouches, pillows, and raincoats available in gold or silver, and a shiny black look.

vere Tyvek® Bags are fashionable enough to use as an everyday over-the-shoulder bag, and functional enough to use as a carryall for groceries, books, or other heavy materials.

These eye-catching bags are flexible and lightweight, yet strong enough to carry up to 40 pounds. They are rip/tear resistant and water resistant making them durable. The bags are washable and recyclable too!

Both the gold and silver handbags are similar in size to most reusable shopping bags.

What is Tyvek®?
First discovered in 1955, Tyvek® is the original non-woven material produced from flash spun fibers.  Tyvek® is a unique material in that it is incredibly thin and lightweight yet strong and durable. It is used in a variety of applications including postal service mailing envelopes and the DVD sleeves used by online movie rental companies such as Netflix.
