Kathy Moskal is a New York based product designer and entrepreneur. In 1978 she partnered with Sandy Chilewich (of Chilewich/Sultan) to co-found HUE - the Fashion Legwear company that revolutionized the hosiery industry. With offices in the U.S. and Europe, they sold the company in 1991. Today it continues as an internationally recognized brand.
In 2004 Kathy founded vere, the first premium chocolate company premised on the little known (at the time) health benefits of dark chocolate. Vere produced a line of exceptional artisan and award winning products and packaging, and was awarded the Gold Medal for the "Best Artisanal Confection of 2008" by the Gallo Family of Vineyards.
Always interested in the “underdeveloped” aspects of materials, she has now launched the first in a line of beautiful products made from Tyvek®, a versatile material primarily known for its use in the building trade and FedEx envelopes. Tyvek® is the original non-woven material, and is lightweight, strong, and water resistant. It is also recyclable.
Kathy holds a B.F.A. & M.F.A. from the Yale School of Art & Architecture, and lives in New York City with her husband Robert McCord, a published golf writer.
