Consider the emphasis on single-origin chocolate by makers such as NoKA and Eclat, or their use of unusual spices such as black pepper and clove – our favorite is the curry-dusted Swanson Vineyards’ Alexis Estate Bonbons. Other luxe choices include Woodhouse, whose Thai ginger and Quairo Espices are delicious; for organic chocolate with a conscience, there is Cocoa Vino and Vere. Jean-Phillippe Patisserie is a decadent boutique in Las Vegas’ Bellagio. Even Godiva has gone upscale with its “couture” G and Platinum collections (we think its Pop Chocolates are pure fun). What to sip? Try Fonseca 20 Year Old Aged Tawny Port. Mmmm.
