Kathy: "The name VERE is the Latin word for the true, the real, the authentic and we picked it because we wanted to make a chocolate that was true and real for a real chocolate lover."
The process begins with a bar of chocolate and instead of adding sucrose, Kathy adds fructose, which tastes the same but does not spike your blood sugar levels.

VERE incorporates healthy fats whenever possible. Plus cocoa butter -- it’s not all that bad. The unsaturated fats found in cocoa butter are composed of oleic acid like olive oil that can raise your good cholesterol, HDL, and lower your bad cholesterol LDL.
